Ailments of the truck continued. Finally went on online to find out about the problem and well DuH! My heater/ac fan staying on and draining the battery has been a problem for years with this product. Even a recall on it up to 150,000 miles or 10 years.
So, to You Tube for a fix. Looked at several instructional video's and found out just pulling the Fan Fuse in the main fuse box will stop that problem but knocks out 5 speed. So, we charged the battery again yesterday afternoon and pulled the fuse. Drove the truck around a bit and went though a relearn of the TB system. Check the A/C and does work and even a low speed fan which been a long time since that worked. Did put it to 5 and it did shut the fan off.
So, parked it for the night and this morning did check to see if it had power and YES.
Now for the TBS set up to arrive and get that changed out.
Wife and I out for a ride about and ice cream mile shake was good.
Da Knee is doing great and starting to load it up more and more. But, still leary with it. Will keep working with it everyday and probably back on the bikes by the end of this week.
Did plant the squash seeds from Dee in my old oil change container with potting soil and plant enhancing soil. Used 8 empty toilet paper centers to plant the seeds and we gonna see how this works out as per the transfer.
Did take the KLR off the lift and the cut down side stand is perfect with the inch I took out of it and welded a big washer to it. Be anxious to ride it again with the lowered status.
The batch of elderberry/muscadine wine came out really well and well liked by the people whom I gave so too. So, will start on another batch of dewberry wine this morning. Get it defrosting for sure.
Well, that's about it till the next.
