The Vette job on the sig lite set up is a done deal and all works.  Drivers side was a learning experience and the passengers side a lot fast and easier. Had turn the ignition on to check if all was working after the driver's side was done and light blinking and coming on and off all over the car. WoW!
So, did the passengers side and got all buttoned up cept for the under neath panel to got to the bulb sockets in case of a problem there.
Next came the removal of the bottom of the dash which was fair easy after watching a video on it. ;-) . As soon as got the Hyper Lite Fix in place in the wiring harness, turn on the ign and checked lights. Was amaze at how much brighter the sig lites were and even more so , everything worked.
So back together with the dash and under the car to put the lower access panels on. Then off the Quickjacks and put them  away and rolled up the QJ power unit and put it away.

The new light sockets.  Had to grind down on the rubber gaskets a bit to get them to fix and lock into place.
















With that job finished and all tool put away and trash thrown away. Time to feed Luce and I and chill.

That didn't last long as decided to bottle some wine. Transferred satsuma wine to 10 one liter and one .750 liter bottles. Still have some in one 1.5 liter bottle and a little in another. About .5 liters probably. Cleaned everything and marked the bottles .

Next today was Dental and getting a tooth that has been loose for years and was just starting to bother me more than I wanted to put up with. So, a trip to Dr Miller and Joubert's office and Dr Joubert got it out in short time.
Then to Walgreens for pain med sub and that took longer than the trip to get the tooth removed.

Now, looks like soft food diet for a few days to let the hole heal a bit.  No pain though I did take one pill yesterday about 5ish just in case something would pop up as the shot wore off the gum, face and tongue.

To bed after watching For A Few Dollars More and Clint Eastwood on You Tube.

Then starts today. Up at 03:30 and no pain and sipping lukewarm coffee very slowly.

Bout it for the day so till the next.

As time goes by , so does life.
Lower back ligaments getting better as time goes by and can tell I did a good job on it this last time picking up the KLR from flat on the ground. Won't do that one again.

What's happened over the last month? Healing,  problems with the driver's side signal light on the Vette, a ride to a young lady and her mom in the Christmas Parade, another person wanting to buy the KLR but not showing up with the money. Drinking too much wine a couple evenings. And that about wraps up the month.

As per the Vette, problem keeping the light bulb and socket in contact as the socket is pretty burnt and not a year old yet.  So, bit the bullet and finally decided to change out the whole assembly with an LED set up involved this time.  New lens assembly,  new and better pig tails, led bulbs and a hyper-flash corrector harness to go under the dash.
Last piece coming in the mail yesterday and now waiting on weather to hit a warming cycle to get the job done in the cold garage.

Also renewed the registration on the Vette for 2 years and did it online for 21.50. So much simpler.

Christmas parade was neat with the young lady and her mom. Like doing that once in awhile, but it's a " drag the brakes for speed control even at idle " in the Vette.

 Have not been on the bikes for 6 weeks now. Both on Battery tenders and have started Suzy once and the KLR twice.  Thought I might of had the KLR sold so took the mounting ball off and change the corbin flat top seat for the stock seat the guy never showed up so don't guess he really wanted it that bad.  No matter as don't really care if I sell it or not. 

Hating the cold weather times as usual and not getting out and about like I want to but such is life as you get up in age I guess. 

Oh yes, Thanksgiving Day and the daughter's family over for dinner as per the wife's wishes was okay. Still not really big on holidays. Never was really. 

So that about wraps up what I remember for the month and we'll just go along with what happens. 

Funny how , the older you get , the faster time flies by.  But, life goes on and on and on.
Maintenance work done around here since the last post.

KLR dons grey paint now, and a corrected connection at the starter relay that was causing a No Starter Motor turning over once in awhile,
Then side stand in soft grassy graveyard lets the bike fall. So, had to get it up and strained stuff in the back and hips getting it up so still recovering from that from near  3  weeks ago.

Suzuki Bandit > new chain and sprockets and have not been out and about since doing that a week or so ago. Weather and recovering.

Still waiting on gearbox parts for the Craftsman Lawnmower and a month has passed by. One phone call and on chat with reps let me know they are having major problems at Sears.

So it's still occupying my bike life. 

Then, finally decided to change out my old office chair so WalMart got the call. Assembled the new one and put the  old one at the work table. 

We gonna see how long this one will last. 

Did get a mini buffer from Harbor Freight and tested it on the hood of the truck. Nice. 

Next will be doing something with the front bumper on the Vette. Sand down, reprime, repaint it and both headlight doors so even if the color does not quite match, it will at least be matched covers. ;-) 

Other than the lower right muscle in the back and the left hip being slow to heal, it's all good. 

About the most exciting thing lately.
Well, that cooking oil spray on the front to help with the bugs, may have helped them come off a bit easier but the hot sun and rains yesterday wash that stuff to the hood, to the windshield. What a job to get all that stuff off the whole front of the car. Ain't gunna do dat no meaux. Now let all dry and rewax it. 
Next, da truck needs windshield cleaned good.

Then there was attacking the lf tire on the Dixon that's been flat for awhile.  Got it apart with much work and cleaned all up, repatched the plug , assembled with the help of 2  visegrip pliers and two large tire irons but, it's was sealing yesterday.  Will check it today again. 

Do have a new non flat wheel assembly on the way though. 

Yesterday was American Flat Track afternoon and great races. 

Then this morn early,  MotoGP and some great racing from 2nd on back.  Dovi got a lead on the factory ducati and kept it there.  

Today? Hmmmmmmmm. 

Rain rain and some more rain is the theme for yesterday and looks the same today. Sure cuts down on the road therapy and the morning walkabout. But, tis what it tis.

Did work on Suzy's front end some more yesterday afternoon, Right fork filled , bled and fully assembled.  Left fork removed , taken apart, cleaned, re-assembled and back on the bike. Noticed I had a couple keepers wrong on the right fork so pull it back off and corrected.

Now, to finish cleaning the oil residue on the brake capillaries and finish putting all back together. Might even finish it today.

Did a CD for a Cuz's guy yesterday.  They did want someone to convert an old record album to a CD but I didn't have that set up any more. So, after talking with him on the phone to be guided to the album he wanted , got it done pretty quick.  So, perhaps they'll come by later and get it. Also have her copies of some articles from our 1957 Hurricane Audrey  that her dad went though in Cameron.

Then, there is the project I'm working on about getting a 1988 Centennial Paper of Jennings in digital format with scanning and typing. Then, uploading it to my photobucket account. Old paper is going away pretty fast so need to get this done.

Other than that, everything at a stand still till this weather pattern changes.

Well Hello 02:43! And yes we did get 5 hrs ot good sleep in. And, might go back to bed for a few more in an hour or so or maybe not. We'll see what fate brings.

Been working on getting an old supplement from the Jennings Daily news on the computer and on a photobucket account. The 1988 Centennial Edition. Some of it, I can scan and enter as jpegs. Some I need to type out and do sections as jpegs as the photo site won't do word processor files.

Got a couple packages in from usps and ups yesterday.
Suzy got fork seals in and new 5wt oil for the forks as they been seeping.  But, gonna wait for cool weather for that job.

And a little carry holster for concealed carry, But that's mainly for winter carry cause I need some insulation between the gun and the skin. ;-)

Did get the wife out for a birthday supper at a place she's never been to before except to get a spare key to me due to locking my key in my car last Sunday.  A good grill meal and some French music suited her, plus loving the  country scenery and the lay out at Loggerheads near Moss Bluff on the Calcasieu River.

Yesterday was a quik shopping at WalMart for a couple shirts and apples and ww ritz crackers. Oh, yes, a resupply of peanut butter.  Then cutting the  yard with the Dixon as it was 90F at 2PM. But, not really any work in using that machine.

And monthly bill paying time for the month. ATT phone,  CapOne Card, Transfer to billing account. Also Truck Ins paid. Next it the Walmart card in a few days as it's cycle runs a few days after the 1st generally.

And today? No clue, No plans, as we'll see what's in the winds of Fate.

A trip to Loggerheads for Wednesday night cajun music and a meal with the wife as her 71st birthday was the 28th. Her first time there and was really impressed with the place.
Also think she likes the Vette but still considers it too low and with the bushes on the sides of the roads , you can see much in the fields.

The house next door is coming along fine and finishing interior work has began. Like final painting and molding. Plumbing has not been covered yet on the southside, and electricity not hooked up to the place yet. Still with the accessory pole and extension cords to the home.  Probably soon is the rest of the concrete work for the drives and shop.

Here on the home front, bell pepper or two is showing on the last plants for the garden.
And the fig wine is coming along nicely. Killing the yeast now as it is just right. Around 15% by volume and 3.4 ph.  So , it needs to set about a few weeks before bottling.

Suzy the bandit on the lift for repairs as soon as Bike Bandit gets parts to me. May have to quit using them as they are getting slower and slower for common parts.

Great run on Suzy the Bandit this afternoon covering 148 miles in 3:15 hrs:mins. One stop in Abbeville for gas at a Walmart/Murphy place. Got get those 3 cents off LOL! Then onwards to downtown New Iberia connecting up with the old 90 and back to Lafayette on the thruway and connecting up with 90 again out of Lafayette to Scott , Rayne ( said Hi to the frogs lining the path ) and back to Jennings and home.
Now, the chill mode is in full swing.
Hope everyone's day was as great as mine was and still happening with 60's music downloads.

Well, get home from the FD C & C and action in the Hood. Carpender's getting stuff ready to pour slab when the rains quit. New peeps moving in the house across the street on Church St. Did have police living there for the last 6 or so months , now, gone and new peeps.
Plus , picked more figs this morning and have one gallon zip lock bag full. Gonna be a fruitful season it seems.
Now, chill mode till this afternoon, Then we'll check on the Winds of Fate. ;-)

Amazing afternoon where I pulled all four wheels off the car and took them to H & H for some high speed balancing. I had the tires changed out and wheels balanced in the last 5 months. But was getting a front vibration at about 90 mph. The rears were good but both fronts not good so the redid them.
Then out on the road to test. The vibrations are gone gone even at 110 mph.
Celebrated with a quick trip to the LA Bar to visit with a couple friends, a beer and back to the house.
Now, bring on tomorrow to see where the winds blow ;-) And , back to Netflix ;-)

What an afternoon!!!!!!!!!! Me and Bandit doing our thing! I like my car, I love my KLR, but Bandit and I, it's like LOVE! 225 miles today and the body held up goodly. One stop at the 130 miles mark for gas and a snack and a walk about. Some new roads, some old roads, some I've not been on in a long time. Some great roads, some not so great roads, but roads just the same.
Then, chill a bit, go for a walk with Da Luce, Weed eat, bring a shopping basket home that was left in the street a few blocks away and an un-occupied house. May bring it back to Piggly's tomorrow.
Now, chill mode and some Net flix in the near future.

great afternoon with the ride to Loggerheads Bar and Grill. Wanted to deliver some wine to the girls working there. They were happy and I was happy. Always great conversation with that crew.
Think I'm getting close to the 10 K mark in the year I've had this Corvette. I'll check later. Need 119324 on the clock before the 29th.
Also stopped at Hot To Trot in Welch on the way back. Another friendly group and met 4 of my great friends from Lake Arthur there.

well, Vette's left front sig light went couyarn again and lost bulb contact. Had happened yesterday after some chatter strips in the road but back to normal on the next bump. Had a problem with this last week so had taken all apart , cleaned and put back in place. Then , this morning, stops working again. So, apart again but this time, getting serious on pulling up the little wires on the bulb and wire brush and electroclean and then back together. Now, we'll see how long that will work.
Had the same problem on my truck till I did the same proceedure and no problem since. We'll see.
Now, onwards with what the winds of fate gonna bring to me this day.

Yes! Sunday morning and 45F and no big red ball to the East. Sigh! Tis okay. Lots of motorcycle racing on today, Argentina MotoGP and American flattrack this afternoon also being as they were rained out yesterday.
Supercross at Seattle was a mad fest reminding me of my days in the early '70's and our mud fest races about South Louisiana.
Where did these days go?

La YUK! 45F this morning. But, stars in the sky. Ya! One Whole Wheat pancake done deal with coffee and water/lemon/apply cider vinegar and that shud get the body started.
Doobie Brothers on the speakers just getting it on. Luce still in bed under the covers. Me chillin' in my warm room.
Loggerhead band starting at 3P today Sooooooooooo, just might wander that direction for a bit. We'll see what happens with the day. But, gonna be a Vette day for sure.

Wow! Peeked out the curtain of my window to the world and WOW! Big bright light attacked my eyes. ;-) Love it! Means it's gonna warm up fairly fast this morn from it's present 50F ish.
A trip to Stines for supplies after the morning mile. Drive way project ta daaaaaa.
Then, we'll see what the Winds of Fate blow our way. Is it gonna be the KLR? The Bandit? The Vette? hmmmmmm. But, we gonna get some road therapy in for sure this afternoon.

Hello Wednesday Morning with yur sun shiney 65F self. And fixing to get DA Luce up and out for our normal walking routine.
Plans for the day?????? Hmmmmmmmmm. Not really sure yet.
But the round trip in the Vette yesterday afternoon from Jngs to Abbeville to Lafayette to Jngs was starting to get not comfortable. But a couple glasses of wine took care of that. Then a bit of dancing at Turn It Up Tuesday.

Trip to Crowley to check out the show was great. Surprised on how many showed up. Both sides of the street from the Courthouse to US 90. Now, about 60 or so pics to go though.
Then a trip to Iota to see a cousin but a few cars at her home so onward to Tepetate and Trapper's for a beer and converse with the people there. Always friendly people in there and the Mixologist is a great and friendly lady.
Now, Do be getting ready for Supercross and Flattrack.

Nice walking weather this morn. Enjoy watchin' Luce with her nose to the ground checking for new sniffs and having to turn about when passing a new one. Even picked up a few flower arrangements on the ground and put them on near by gravesites. Most people do not secure them to very well and the winds have fun.
But, we got a bit over a mile done this morning , Luce chillin' in her basket and I see a Piggly trip very shortly. Out of Peanut butter and we can't have that.
Then, hmmmmmmmm. Let the winds of fate take over and guide me to roads less traveled.
