Been over a month since been to this blog and was gonna quit it. But a couple peeps don't do face book and like keeping up with what is happening in my world.  So, let us catch up for the last month.

Was hunting an old picture of the Heywood building in my Old Jennings file and found another that brought back memories. Do you remember it?

The pumping station at the bayou to supply water for the area rice farmers.

And the latest batch of wine I made from orange juice bought at Lyons. And , what's left of the Black berry wine on May 7th.

Did make a trip to New Orleans to bring Tysen Da Son home for a few days. Him and Da Bride catching up on things as been awhile since he was last home. Went and got him in the Traverse and a solo trip but brought him back with mom in place. Did a straight trip on 10 for the return as going on the 26,14, 90 route had some detours at New Iberia.

And the old stump has a sun flower. But not anymore as it died as flowers do so bent it over to the seeds from it could fall inside the stump.

Well, the little satsuma tree did not survive from the freeze. No sign if life at all. Did get 20 satsumas off it before the freeze.

So, in it's place, some other plants. Cantaloupes from seeds I saved a few weeks ago.

And the sunflowers in the front of the house. Really coming along.

My favorite place under the carport. Reading, napping, watching the birds and squirrels and listening to the sounds of the city.

Work going on between Plaquemine and Nezpique on the East side of Main. New sidewalks.

Newest batch of Blackberry wine. Now at about 10% BVA. Want to let it get to at least 12% before I kill the yeast. Taste test by Da Bride says OK!

And a restoration job going on with the old Manual store on S Main. Gonna be interesting to see the results. Also work going on at the old Heywood building.

So ends a summary of the last month and a half. Still babying the left hip but seems to be getting better. Only do a single Tylenol about twice a day. Sucks to get old and have old injuring coming back to haunt you. But, I still miss my motorcycle life for sure.

Me and my '2002 BMW R1150GS headed for the mountains. Loved that life for sure. Did rack up over 700K miles roaming our country.
