18 April 2020

Well Hello Saturday the 18th day of April.
Let's look at what's happen in the last week.
4/13
Oh Wow! Up at 04:00 and go outside to see what the sky has to offer. And STARS. Even through the light pollution of this city the big dipper was showing up. And of course the moon in it's 1/2 phase was very bright. Too bad about the curfew or me and da truck and camera would of been headed to darker spots in the country.
But, tis what it tis and we'll bide. So, coffee happening and a slice of bread with a touch of honey to wake the body up before the garage and the rowing machine really get it going.
Wishing all a great Monday.
And the pic is a Wish I was in the dark to view the sky as was when we were kids and didn't need / want all these lights.
Good run this afternoon. Neat to get out and about and visit with a road I had not been on in awhile. But did remember they were working on 383 at Indian Village last time and that was no good for cruising about .
But now, fixed and quiet and love it. Especially from Indian Village to just pass the Jefferson Davis parish line. Nice and curvy.
Now, chill and perhaps netflix and some wine!!!!!!!

Oh well, twas neat and clear outside so hoping to see the moon planet alinement but now overcast big time. Well , maybe tomorrow? We'll see.
Yes the stars and moon are out, but whom ordered this 48F weather? La Yuk! And according to the weather peeps 2 more days of it. OH well, Heater in my room working goodly.
Coffee happening and chillin and fixin to see what may attract my attention on you tube. Been really having fun with Family Feud lately.
Wish all a great day and may the winds of fate be kind to you.
Well, the old trailer got attacked today. Off with the old wooden floor that had been there over 20 years. Then blow all the trash from the expanded metal floor and wash it down with water. Tomorrow is wire brush and sanding and a prime coat of paint if the primary gets done and the winds of fate blow right.

Did take my road therapy trip from Jennings and Da 10 to Egan and side road to Crowley and 90 back to Jennings and the car is back where it started from . Da Garage.
Apple and peanut butter does supper.
Did watch about 15 mins of Da Pres and turn that off. Nothing new.
So on with the rest of this day and we'll just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. Cept dang cold azzzzzz weather for sure in the morning. Sigh!

4/15
Good morning world! Hello Stars and waiting for the moon to clear the trees to the east and south of me. Won't be long. But coffee happening and oat meal a done deal.
And weather channels shows 48F and my wall setup shows 10.1C.
So , we wait on the rotation of our planet for the dawn and obit of our moon to see it and it's trail of planets.
Wishing all a great Thursday and that the Winds of Fate are good to you.

Well just had to do a few pics with my little Nikon Coolpix camera. The first is the start of the color show as I look out to my East ( and only window in my little room ) view.
The second is getting better as our planet rotates further towards the sun
And the last is the finale pic of the morning color show.
Just so love watching the sky and the wonders of the universe.

Well, for the 1st time since 1992 , I am bikeless. Suzy da Bandit went to a new home today. Had to stay off from '86 to '92 due to a concussion and vertigo problem after getting hit from behind at night at a stop sign and left for dead in a ditch.

But, life goes on. And, we still have Da Truck and Da Vette.

Well , a bit of a little road therapy in Da Vette. 26 to 1126 to 99 to 3086 to 383 to 190 to 97 for about 80 miles. Did cruise behind two tractors for a bit. Didn't get a great pic on the 2nd one as was on the gas pretty hard to hurry around.
Worked on the trailer today also. Getting some rust off and hopefully painting it silver.

Ze Trailer is up in the air and washe and ready for wire brush and paint tomorrow. Chill time

Wow! 5 AM has arrived and been up an hour doing this and that. Pretty sky is not what's happening this morn at only a couple of the brighter stars visible on my wake up trip outside to check out the world. And not seeing the moon yet though getting more cloudy out there and probably will not see it.
Plans for the day, Walk about, work on trailer, what happens with the winds of fate.
My Dew Berry vines says " Oh yes , we gonna produce this year also " . And, I just got rid of my last two zip lock bags and the wine is bubbling quite nicely.
Yesterday's 52 mile run to collect bugs.

4/17
The walk is a done deal as was the ride about down town and nothings changed there.
Get the bugs off the Vette was the mission when getting home as the little runabout yesterday collected a few. Now to let it finish drying and do some waxing on the nose.

Awake at 1A and hmmmmmm. May as well map out where I roamed yesterday and when get sleepy, back to bed.
First took the service road from Jtown to Iowa LA. Picking up an empty milk crate that had flew off someone's pick up at they gain speed on the 10 and put it in the back of the Vette. Can always use them things.
Then 90 E to Pousson Road.
Had not been down Pousson Road in a long time so decided to see what's new down there. Many new homes for sure. And staying on blacktop by all the turns you see on the map, 14 finally reached just out of Bell City.

Well, it is more pleasant in the temperture region this morn than was yesterday for my body.
I do think Cousan Joe's gonna be happening today. Gonna be a nice and quiet days as I like them to be.
Do see rain in the forecast for midday coming out of the west. Sigh! Best get my ride about in early then.
Wishing all a great day.

As time flies by fast , not a lot happening lately.
My rides about the countryside in the car mainly as both bikes on Battery Tenders due to a back problem that let me know I slept wrong with it last night.  But pain meds to the rescue this morning.

Finally the landscape it starting to look like Fall has arrived with the last little freeze turning all the winter gray.

This pic being on LA 14 West of L.A.

Love this road as usually zero traffic till the LA 27 intersection at Holmwood.   An example below.

Seems the theme here is wife getting things set up for having the daughter and her fam over for Thanksgiving Dinner.  This is when I really miss my job offshore so I can be absent from these happenings. Sigh!

Morning check into my favorite place at this home site, to see if all is good.
Funny thing with the tool box and table in the back. I decided to move them to the side a few weeks ago and found myself constantly going to where they use to be. So, put them back.

And the last thing with a pic is my look down the street here in the early morning to see if all was still okay with the hood.
And of course , playing with the G16 Canon.

Did fix at bad loose drivers side muffler hookup on the car.  Seems they missed to slot on the hook up through a rubber grommet so got that right.

Onwards with this day. Till the next.

01 April 2020

Did get my walk about in. Very windy for sure. Did a cut though on the grass between sections which is slower but see so many more grave sites. Amazing the people you knew in your life that you run across.
Wife and I to my cuz's home here in town to see if I could get her extended chainsaw back together. See did keep a distance between her and us.  Love that but spent all her working life as a nurse so in the know.  Success in getting it back together and working.
So a quick spin around town with the truck as duty vehicle for me in the mornings. Try to run both vehicles each day a bit. Only one sitting is the Suzuki Bandit which I run about once a week in place.  Have not rode it this year.
After noon meal and chill mode, decided to take off in the car for a roundabout.  Still have problems with dizziness after awhile and different every time. Some days worst than other so keep experimenting with it. Probably and age thing.
Did take updated pics of the garden plots in the afternoon with the T3i Canon. Need to use it more.
The Dew Berries coming along.

The 3 plots

The Sump

The fig tree.
