30 March 2020

And yesterday I made it to 77 yrs old.  Never ever thought that would of happen.  But, made the best of it with a cruise about with the wife for about 124 miles and 3 hrs in the vette.

And did get the yard cut in 3 sections Saturday with the self propelled Craftsman. But thinking that it's gonna take 4 sections when it get really hot in the summer.

Still doing lot of staying away from people during this crisis and looks like we have not hit the high of it yet. Still many new cases being reported along with the deaths.  And the press and politicians all wanting to blame someone.  Sheesh! It happened, no matter where it started.  Deal with it.

Still getting my walk abouts in at the graveyard.  My fav place as very few people go there cept to visit their dead, and the grave diggers.  But , really easy to stay a long ways away from them. Yesterday morning two more concrete vaults were being put down in the east end of section G in Greenwood.  So, this morning I'll venture over there and check it out. ;-)  Oh yes, 1.5 miles yesterday in 55 minutes,  So , it just roaming about and stopping here and there.

The sunflowers are getting up there in the front yard plot.  Well some are up to about 6 inches.  ha ha ha  Pic was from about 4 days ago.

Well , that about wraps it up for the present so till the next.

25 March 2020

And Wednesday the 25th day of March has arrived.  Lots of panic over the spreading virus and more action being taken. Most places closed, curfew from 10pm to 5am and may be expanded.

Have not watched any updates yet today but didn't leave the yard yesterday, even for an afternoon drive or morning walk in the graveyard. And still staying away from people. Not hard as I was never liking crowds anyway.

Did work on the generator yesterday and got it to spit a few times so ordered another carb for it.  Would like to get it running again.

Truck is doing good and got in the pigtails socket assys for the daytime running lights as the old one very brittle from the heat of running for 100k miles and near 17 years.  So plan to get that done today.

Still run Suzy about once a week and no bites on getting it sold and probably won't with the plague problem sweeping the earth at present. But no matter, Time will tell.

The car is doing really good and still my ride of choice. But if stay too long on straight road, start getting light headed. Some days not and some days lots. But about 500 miles away from having 150K miles on it.

Fired up the Dell computer a few days ago and let it run for about an hour to upgrade. Downloaded the new MS Edge on it  Like it almost as much as Google Chrome now. Even a new symbol for it.

No rains in the past days but cloudy.

Watching lots of You  Tube and Netflix.

So, till the next!

16 March 2020

Now with the new virus sweeping the planet, major changes in life style either imposed by the government or self. I mostly go with self.
Funny is the rush for non essential like toilet paper. I've been places in my life where they have no idea what that is. And had to deal with it. Smiling that thinking about out old outhouse and newspaper in the early 50's just here in Jennings on the Southside of the tracks where sewer had not been installed yet.
Da truck got it's new lights installed last week and they do look good.  Had to really adjust down on one headlight but such is life when you change things.  Did see a couple bad pigtails for the DRL's so that's a future project on that stuff.  No major as have done it twice on the Vette.
Did get the yard mowed and weed eated yesterday. Can see a future of done the yard in 3 stages of mowing when it gets really hot.  Unless I get a little riding mower that can get in the back yard also.

Wuz gonna get the back glass tint on the Vette changed out but supposedly 8AM appointment wuz getting close to 9AM with still working on a vehicle they had started the day before. So told them I had dental as an excuse to leave.  As leaving the boss was outside and looked at the car and said it would problem take a lot of work and I would need to leave it. So, not gonna happen.  Tis really not that that bad, just a few bubbles that you don't see unless the lid is up and you're back there.

Knee and other body problems seem to do good when on advil.  LOL.  Or wine.  But too much wine has me gaining weight.  So, plan is to back off on that.

Goal for this day is stay away from people and take a nap so can watch Comos tonight at 8 P instead of going to sleep in the middle of it. ;-)

Well , all I can think of at present so till the next.

05 March 2020

Well Hello the 5th day of March already.
And yesterday's rains have move more North and away from us in SW La. But, the cooler temps have returned.
Did the get parts in to fix the tail gate latch assy and bezel for da truck so that back all good.  Been noticing at lot of wetness in the passenger side signal light assembly so took it out and stuff a rag in there to absorb some of the moisture. Ended up coming back to the room and computer and Hello 1A Auto to order a new set of sig lite assys and a few more minutes with the truck putting the light assemblies back together saw quiet a bit of foggy on the head lights lens so back in the room , back to 1A Auto and order those also. So, about 155 bucks of parts ordered for da truck at noon.
Checked the order yesterday evening and parts order filled and shipped. That's fast.

The knee is still suckin' but doing better since my last issue of straining on of the interior ligaments. Swelling is way down and normal temperature so headed in the right direction with it and just have to be extra careful with it. Hmmmmmmmm.

Still waiting on results of MRI done 4 weeks ago.  Want to order a 2 post lift for the garage but waiting to see the results and what direction we need to go with the back before ordering.

Car is doing great and adding miles to it often.  But with the weather of the last few days has not left the garage. Today, yes!  Keeping the truck under the section of overhang coming off the garage makes me have to move it to get to the car and put it back in the evening but keeps about 2/3's of the truck under cover. Like that.

So waiting on the day to start as it's just 3:13AM and been up since 1:50A and coffee made. But, feeling the want of returning to bed for another hour or so.
So, till the next
