Wow! 3 weeks gone.

 Wow, the 27th day already here. But, been a very active 3 weeks for sure with repairs on the car and sis in law getting a home here in Jennings. 

Sis In Law ( which I will refer to as Dee ) has finally decide to see out her holdings South of Conroe, Tx and move to Jennings to be back with her sisters and brothers. So, the process of locating, dealing  and buying a home has been quite a feat and hopefully in a few days a done deal. Then comes the moving her stuff here and selling her last holdings in Texas. Picture is her hopefully new home. 

A quick trip to Orange , Tx. so she could get a cashier's check to pay for the house and wow , the construction going on over there.  Stopped at an Ace Hardware store to get help on how to get to a branch of her back.  But, got er done and back to Jennings in about a 3 hour round trip. 

Then meeting with the transaction people to give them the check and signing a bunch of papers. Now getting the owner to do her signing from a nursing home somewhere to finish the transaction and perhaps getting the keys in a day or so. 

Then , There's the Car Story! 

Finally got the new nose section here at home after solving the shipping address problems.  So far, about 900 dollars into this project. 

Getting the nose section home and getting it cleaned and ready to paint. 

Then the 1st prime coats of paint. 

Then comes about 3 base coats of the silver. 

Then the clear coats. 

Then getting the lights and harness fitted. 

And the getting the nose piece in place

That's where we are at on this job. I a few days with the wife's help for putting some pressure to line things up a bit closer while I tighten the stud nuts. And we start putting the rest of the stuff on. ;-) 

So, that gets us up to date on the car. 

Hello/Goodbye 1st week of 2021

 So glad the holidays are over! Now, Parts can start coming in that have not arrived yet. 

On the car > Got paint in but not a kit. Just the Silver base. So had extra primer and not much clear so ordered a quart of clear.  Can always use it else where. 

And new yesterday is that the nose is on the way to Lake Charles and projected arrival is the 12th. 

Did decide not to put the air duct attachment back in. Don't drive that hard and not road racing the car. 

Other is my oldest sis in law ( same 77 yrs old as I )   Dee Fontenot Reeves from Texas is in the process of buying a home in Jennings. So that consumed a lot of last week and found a good place about 5 blocks from my home. Think closing and signing will be next week. So her and da Wife Brenda made a trip back to Conroe area for her to transfer funds and check on her home and get it put up for sale and be back tomorrow night. Gonna be great having her around.  Love both my sis in laws much. 

Did trim lots off the grapefruit tree last week. So that's done.  Next trimming is the kumquat tree and at present it's very loaded. 

Now, for old man winter to do it's thing and get out of here. That 39F showing on my thermo is not near my liking.  I'm more of an 70 to 90 f person.
