24 August 2025

Hello Sunday the 24th day of August

 Wow! The time flies.

Did do something different this month. Traded the Chevy Traverse off for a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Been a lot of fun learning that thing for sure. Sure a big difference on how the dash operates.

28 July 2025

July 28th and big busy Monday!

Not a lot happening cept keeping up with grass cutting.

Cut Dee's yard 18 times as it's just with the riding mower. Put it on the trailer and go to Dee's.

My yard is at times weed eat first. Then outline with walk behind mower then the riding mower to finish.  Then clean them both and put the away.

Hello 4 of July! Cloudy sky so not much to see looking up. 😉. Did get Canon G16 out of the Wife's ride to see what pictures I took on our afternoon ride about. US 90 to LA 13 to LA 14 to LA 26 to LA 102. Wanted to check out the sugar cane fields near Kaplan. Lots of them in that area.

Course the rice is getting ripe.

7/5 Did do a little wine work with the newest batch of Watermelon wine

Wife did get one of the blankets finished for a friend in Lake Arthur and now off to see her sister and show her the work.

The shop freezer getting full. Lots of blackberries.

7/7 A friend asked me what all was in the goulash mix today. So, had to dig out the cans to see.

Cans
Sweet peas, Diced tomatoes, Sweet Potatoes, White chicken, Green beans, Baked Beans, Pinto beans, Smoked sausage, Beef chunks.
All in a pot on the stove and cooked. Now in the refrigerator

7/11 To Stines to purchase a little air conditioner for the Sewing room. Got a smaller one as that room hardly used any more by da Bride.

Getting everything to fit and seal was a near 1.5 hour job. But done deal and da bride loves it and the looks

7/12 One Chevy Traverse Washed and wiped down. Making 1 AC sweat much. LOL!
Next, load up the trailer and lawn mower and to Dee's for grass cutting.
Then < change sweaty shirt. LOL
Did see them clearing out a spot at the graveyard for a shed of some sort.

7/15 Wow Had to grin with memories when this picture popped up. 1962 in Hong Cong with a couple buddies. Can't remember their names.

Over a month catch up.

The calendar I Made for June. The 17th was 57 years together.

One Nissan Rogue washed and wiped down!
A bit of playing with Chocolate Milk wine. Added a touch of chocolate to the front bottles and shook them goodly. It will settle but a few shakes puts it back as seen.

Also a picture from yesterday afternoon when just could not resist shooting that cloud line. Just so amazing the things you see in the sky.

June 2 One yard weed eated and even along the street. And two ant hills poisoned.

Month of April Happenings

Guess grass cutting would be the main thing that started happening this month. My yard = weed eating. trimming with the walk behind mower and finishing with the riding mower.

In Dee's yard it's only the riding mower that gets loaded into the trailer for the trip to and from Dee's home about 1/2 a mile away.

01 April 2025

Month of March 2025 gone

 Wow! This month flew by.

March 1st

Parade Day

Did have the Canon G16 working today., A bit of a slow camera as found out. 1st time using it for fast multiple shots. But took a total of 258 pictures, kept and processed 120.

March 2

In the Shop the new batch of grape wine bubbling like crazy > YES!
In the Garage < all good
March 5

The intersection where 26 passes the Frontage roads totally redone,. Really lets you see coming traffic way better. Love it.

March 6

Hi Thursday at 12:30A! A look outside while coffee heating and very few stars visable though the light cloud cover. 48F reads the temperture gauge. Wine bubbling away in the shop. 😉
Gonna be interesting to see how this new prep start of it comes out. Mix all up electric blade in about 2.5 gallons of water then strained to just mainly liquid before adding sugar and finally yeast with enhancer.

1st thing usually in the early morning , if used the Traverse the day before, is go to the garage and get the bugs off that white front. LOL . Like keeping it clean.

And of course check my wine production.

March 9
Playing with the Canon SX50 camera this morning. Need to start using it more even if a bit larger than the G16s.

From my room to the back door across the kitchen.

My favorite place to be in my house.

March 12
And my favorite place to be when awake in the house.

The other fav place. Working with wine.

And Da Bride working on stuff in her sewing room.

March 15
Love roaming down the back streets in Jennings and things you find. Course a camera right on the side of me. LOve the painting on this place. 1st time seeing it and had to go around the block to get the picture.

A great ride about this afternoon with Da Bride but kinda wore on her on the lenght of the trip without stopping cept when we got back to Jennings and stop to get gas.
But had not been on these roads n awhile and wanted to see if any changes n the last years.

March 18

Did watch the people blacktopping the streets here in north town on Church St in action. A few pictures I took. Looking good! Next probably is 12 th street that borders our home at the corner of Church and 12th.

And did take the winter siding off the house as I'm pretty sure the harsh days of winter are over with pretty much.

Bought this place in 1969. Lots of changes for sure.

March 20
And a picture of me and da Brenda in her sewing room as I was cutting up with one of my cameras,

And coming back home , a picture of our freshly redone 12th street.
